my boyfriend is turning 21 this year. there is going to be a big party, and he's decided to have it night club like... with that kind of a "dress code" (jeans are okay). i want to look really nice for him, kind of sexy but elegant. i want people to say "wow, what a lucky guy... his party is awesome and look at the girl he's with". i want to stand out, as i think i should... i know it's all about him but if i'm with him and we're celebrating then i need to be noticeable too... i shouldn't blend into the crowd. i want to dress up, but not too much, like i said, it's going to be his 21st birthday and you know what that means, so i still need something that isn't too uncomfortable. i'm pretty much up for any suggestions. i don't like ruffles or big bows, but other than that any color is fine (his favorite is purple, and he likes me in yellow or bright pink). i usually keep things simple but this is going to be an exceptional night... so dazzle me! i don't want to spend more than $200-$250.
also, we've been together for almost 4 years... we've been talking about an engagement and marriage, he likes to do things BIG... so i'm thinking this could be the night. i'll obviously want to be ready for that too... looking good in pictures and what not should the moment occur.

next, this outfit is inspired by belle from disney's beauty and the beast. i tried to incorporate the colors you said your boyfriend likes/likes on you. mainly, this one's all about the accessories. the simple yellow babydoll dress from necessary objects (nordstrom) allows you to really play up the dashes of purple throughout the rest of the outfit. the only downside is the shoes. a little more investigation would allow you to find some purple ones that are within your budget. these jimmy choos are super expensive. but finding a replacement shouldn't be too hard. as for your hair, i highly recommend wearing it down. loose and curly would look especially stunning with the babydoll. all of these items are available online.
